• checkError() method is available in java.io package.

• checkError() method is used to check the error state of this stream and flush the stream when it is not closed.

• checkError() method is a non-static method, it is accessible with the class object only and if we try to access the method with the class name then we will get an error.

The return type of the method is boolean, it returns true when the PrintStream has encountered an error either on the underlying output stream or in the process of format conversion otherwise it returns false.
