If you use Adobe Reader X it is possible you can't open OLE PDF documents in the standard.

The reason is the 'save box mode' in adobe reader X.

Many people think the protected Mode of adobe reader x is only to stop the write access.

You can solve this problem one or two ways:

Use packaged documents in the registry for PDF (for future documentes).

For older documents it's not possible to go this way, but you can save a OLD PDF document, after you change  the registry entries from OLE to package document and after this you create a new package document (e.g. in your database on the same place)
