The definitive guide to the ARM Cortex-M3.pdf, 2nd edition
This book is for both hardware and software engineers who are interested in the ARM Cortex™-M3
processor. The Cortex-M3 Technical Reference Manual (TRM) and the ARMv7-M Architecture Application
Level Reference Manual already provide lots of information on this processor, but they are very
detailed and can be challenging for novice readers.
This book is intended to be a lighter read for programmers, embedded product designers, systemon-
chip (SoC) engineers, electronics enthusiasts, academic researchers, and others who are investigating
the Cortex-M3 processor, with some experience of microcontrollers or microprocessors. The text
includes an introduction to the architecture, an instruction set summary, examples of some instructions,
information on hardware features, and an overview of the processor’s advanced debug system. It
also provides application examples, including basic steps in software development for the Cortex-M3
processor using ARM tools as well as the Gnu’s Not Unix tool chain. This book is also suitable for
engineers who are migrating their software from ARM7TDMI to the Cortex-M3 processor because it
covers the differences between the two processors, and the porting of application software from the
ARM7TDMI to the Cortex-M3.

Newnes Guide to Television and Video Technology (4th edition)
This new edition of Newnes Guide to Television and Video technology
continues the tradition of providing a comprehensive and up-to-date coverage
of video and television technology first started in 1958 by J. F. Camm.
In 1968 the book was completely re-written by Gordon J. King and updated
by him in 1972. Eugene Trundle took over in 1988 with a further re-write
and subsequent updates in 1996 and 2001. It is now my turn with a new rewrite
to take this publication into the digital age of the 21st century, the age
of flat-panel displays, high-definition television, Blu-ray technology and
internet video streaming; the age of multimedia convergence in which the
various strands of video, television and communication technologies overlap
and complement each other.
Dictionary of Video Television Technology
The Dictionary of Video and Television Technology contains the most up-todate
terms and their usage. The book is a valuable reference for engineers
working in the fields of analog and digital video, broadcast personnel, technicians,
or anyone charged with the task of understanding, using, or
implementing video and television signals.

004-USB.Complete.The.Developers.Guide.4th.Edition.Jun.2009.pdf
This updated edition of the best-selling developer's guide to the
Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface covers all aspects of project
development, including hardware design, device firmware, and host
application software. Topics include how to choose a device controller
chip, how to write device firmware for USB communications, how to cut
development time by using USB device classes, and how to write software
to access devices that perform vendor-specific functions. Also discussed
are hardware interfacing, using bus power, wireless technologies, and
USB On-The-Go. The book presents example code for accessing USB devices
using Visual Basic .NET and Visual C# .NET. The example code shows how
to detect device arrival and removal and how to transfer vendor-defined
data using the human interface device class and Microsoft's WinUSB
driver. Also covered is how to write device firmware to communicate with
the USB host. The Fourth Edition covers USB 3.0 and SuperSpeed and has
new information on controller chips, USB classes, power use, and
Microsoft's WinUSB driver. The author' website has program code,
articles, and other information of interest to USB developers.

Linux-Kernel-Primer.chm
The Linux Kernel Primer is the definitive guide to Linux kernel programming. The authors' unique top-down approach makes kernel programming easier to understand by systematically tracing functionality from user space into the kernel and carefully associating kernel internals with user-level programming fundamentals. Their approach helps you build on what you already know about Linux, gaining a deep understanding of how the kernel works and how its elements fit together.

Mastering Digital Television
Mastering Digital Television examines the technology of DTV, with particular emphasis on the
system documented by the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC). Within the practical
constraints of limited pages in a printed book, it is impossible to cover the other digital television
systems in common use—DVB and ISDB. Rather than provide a surface treatment of all
systems, the author chose to focus on one, and to then examine it in detail. In this book the
underlying technology of DTV is examined and implementation issues are addressed. New
developmental efforts also are explained and the benefits of the work are outlined.
MPEG Handbook 2nd Edition
This book adds some material to the first edition which in turn
completely revised the earlier book entitled MPEG-2. It is an interesting
reflection on the rate at which this technology progresses that these
frequent revisions are necessary. Perhaps after H.264 one could say
that all the key work has been done and thereafter progress will be
incremental. H.264, also known as AVC, is, of course, the impetus for this
edition.
