创建透明表时的细节

自荐表创建过很多，其实很多细节也都不清楚，做了一些东西没有思考为什么。前两天同事问了一个问题，就把我问倒。创建一个新表时technical setting里面有个size category有什么用？后来上help查了下，又把其他细节看了下。

1. size category

When you create a table, the system reserves initial space (an initial extent) in the database. If more space is required at a later time due to data entries, additional memory is added depending on the selected size category. This is explained in the following figure.

Selecting the correct size category prevents the creation of a large number of small extents for a table. It also prevents the waste of space if extents that are too large are created.

2. table maintenance generator

即表的维护视图，从技术的角度来说其实就是创建了一个table control然后通过table control去更新表的数据。这也就是为什么维护视图需要填入一个function group，maintenance screen也在function group中创建。

不过maintenance type 有两种，一是one screen，还有一个是two screen。有何区别？

In one-step maintenance only one maintenance screen (overview screen) is processed at run time. Entries are displayed here in the form of lists. An entry should be able to be displayed in one line of the screen.

In two-step maintenance an additional maintenance screen (single screen) is processed at run time, as well as the overview screen. A single entry is displayed on the single screen. The single screen can be called from the overview screen by function key, for every entry.

简而言之，如果是one screen添加和查看都在一个单独的屏幕中，two screen是添加时还有一个新的屏幕。创建一个two screen的table就明白了。

很多时候做了没有深层的去想为什么，所以没有提高。不过研究的太深又会不会太浪费时间了？矛盾。
