ls (1) - list directory contents
-a, --all do not ignore entries starting with .
-l use a long listing format
-h, --human-readable with -l, print sizes in human readable format (e.g., 1K 234M 2G)
--lcontext Display security context. Enable -l. Lines will probably be too wide for most displays.
[root@OS7 /]# ls -a
[root@OS7 /]# ls -l
[root@OS7 /]# ls -lh
[root@OS7 ~]# ls --lcontext
-i, --inode print the index number of each file
-d, --directory list directories themselves, not their contents
-R, --recursive list subdirectories recursively
-r, --reverse reverse order while sorting
[root@OS7 /]# ls -i
[root@OS7 /]# ls -d
[root@OS7 /]# ls -R
[root@OS7 /]# ls -r
-x list entries by lines instead of by columns
-m fill width with a comma separated list of entries
-C list entries by columns
[root@OS7 /]# ls -x
[root@OS7 /]# ls -m
[root@OS7 /]# ls -C
--sort=WORD sort by WORD instead of name: none (-U), size (-S), time (-t), version (-v), extension (-X)
--time=WORD with -l, show time as WORD instead of default modification time:
atime or access or use (-u) ctime or status (-c); also use specified time as sort key if --sort=time
[root@OS7 /]# ls --sort=none
[root@OS7 /]# ls --sort=size
[root@OS7 /]# ls --sort=time
[root@OS7 /]# ls --sort=version
[root@OS7 /]# ls --sort=extension
[root@OS7 /]# ls --time=atime
[root@OS7 /]# ls --time=ctime
[root@OS7 /]# ls --time=access
[root@OS7 /]# ls --time=status
[root@OS7 /]# ls --time=use
