Things to do afterinstalling Ubuntu 14.04.1:
1. Change softwaresources and update your system. That is to say, add CanonicalPartners in it via opening Unity Dash and search Software &Update ,open it and then make sure that Canonical Partners is checkedin Other Software.
2.InstallUbuntu-Restricted-Extras for media codecs. So, here comes thequestion: what is Ubuntu-Restricted-Extras? Here are the explanationsfrom wikipedia: //ubuntu-restricted-extras is a software package forthe computer operating system Ubuntu that allows the user to installessential software which is not already included due to legal orcopyright reasons.//Canonical cannot include them by default but ifyou install these codecs, it is you who would be held responsible forthe usage and not Ubuntu. Don’t worry it’s safe to install thesecodecs. With these codecs installed, you can play different mediaformats such as MP3, MP4, AVI and several other formats without anytrouble. Install it using the following command:
sudo apt-get installubuntu-restricted-extras

3.Install AdobeFlash Player by the commands below:
sudo apt-get installflashplugin-installer

Ctrl + PRINT SCREEM: make all your screen into a graph and copy it to clipboard.
Shift + PRINTSCREEM: choose a area and then make it into a graph
Alt + PRINT SCREEM: make the window you are using now into a graph.
4.Begin your Cprogramming:
(1)Open up aterminal on Ubuntu Linux and install the build-essential package bytyping the following command in the terminal. Type/Copy/Paste: sudoapt-get install build-essential. This will install the necessaryC/C++ development libraries for your Ubuntu Linux system to createC/C++ programs.
(2)Create adirectory and a sub directory to hold your C/C++ programs and yourmain HelloWorld program. Type/Copy/Paste: mkdir -p CCPP/HelloWorld.We are using CCPP for the main directory to hold our created C/C++programs which stands for C and C+ + programs directory and we areusing the sub directory HelloWorld to hold our main program.
