CategoryAxis domainAxis = plot.getDomainAxis();

网上示例大多为JfreeChart较早版本jfreeChart-1.0.9版本中去除了setVerticalCategoryLabels方法(从哪个版本开始，未验证)转而使用setCategoryLabelPositions功能更加强大。

CategoryPlot plot = chart.getCategoryPlot();
CategoryAxis domainAxis = plot.getDomainAxis();
//CategoryLabelPositions.UP_45 正向旋转45度
//CategoryLabelPositions.UP_90 正向旋转90度
//CategoryLabelPositions.DOWN_45 反向旋转45度
//CategoryLabelPositions.DOWN_90 反向旋转90度
domainAxis.setCategoryLabelPositions(CategoryLabelPositions.UP_90);
