The E4406A not start and green led blink.

when i use the E4406A to test my rf borad at someday, the instrument suddenly shutdown and green led blink.

i do not know what hanppend, i download the E4406A Service Guide(E4406-90178.pdf) figure out the A6 power supply maybe fault.

so i take E4006A a part,pull out A6 componenet,measurement every pins of voltage in E4406-90178.pdf description,but every pins of voltage are like pulse,so i disconnect power control pin in the A6 board, the power back to the normal, so i take out the control board in the A6, figure out the schematic of control board and get result of fault reason, is the 15V supply pin higher then normal it was 16.5V, the LM339M comparer shutdown when 16.5v divide 12.4k with 1k resistor, the voltage(1.231V) higher then reference voltage(1.2V) , i do not know why the 15V power  supply rise to 16.5V maybe the transformer was aging or the electric bridge IC aging, i didn't have the some replacement components, so i ignore this change let LM339M comparer voltage down under 1.2V when i added the 9.35K resistor in parallel with 1K resistor, the comparer voltage down to 1.122V.

now i assembly all part together, every thing is working fine, maybe you instrument have some issue, hope this article can help you!

ps: the agilent product desgin very precise, every resistor on the power board was 1%. every power pin was monitor on the control board with 10% range, the engineer's like the insane,when every things hanppend before the 2000.
