Table Header and Footer View

Each table view has a UIView associated with the header and footer.By default, these views are set to nil. You can create a custom UIViewand then set it as the header or footer view. In the following code block,lines 1 through 5 simply create a new UILabel. In line 6, we set that

label as our tableHeaderView. Similarly, in lines 8 through 12 we create

a second UILabel, which is then set as our tableFooterView in line 13.
