Explanation of the interface of ifconfg on macOS

lo0: is loopback
gif0: is a more generic tunneling interface (https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?gif(4))
stf0: is an IPv6 to IPv4 tunnel interface to support the transition from IPv4 to the IPv6
anpi0: (still unknown)
en0: ethernet (including WiFi)
ap1: Access Point. This is used if you are using your MacBook as a wireless host where you are sharing its connection.
awdl0: Apple Wireless Direct Link (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19587701/what-is-awdl-apple-wireless-direct-link-and-how-does-it-work)
llw0: low-latency WAN interface (maybe about IOT)
bridge0: introduced sometime before macOS 12.6.3 (bridging en1 and en2)
utun0: tun/tap interfaces (used by 3rd party networking applications, for VPN)
