有关Workflow Management和Process Management的主要区别

在workfow-research forum中,Michael 说了有关workflow mgt和process mgt的主要区别，非常简洁明了，当然依据Michael的本性，他是从一个管理的角度来看待：
PM覆盖了 分析、计划、定义、实现、运行、维护全过程（哈哈，似乎是一个软件工程了），而WM则更偏重于实现和运行。

昨天在看有关jboss jbpm的文章的时候，其主研发人Tom也说到了一些有关p和w的区别。当然Tom似乎更是从一种偏技术的角度来阐述，其认为：Workflow - typically a flow of information and actions associated with people。BPM - Business Process Management. This term typically refers to a combination of people and system oriented processes.

         Michael更是在文章结尾引出里上个世纪五十年代“Deming cycle”，实际上，似乎目前BPM发展，一方面是试图“解决业务应用”，另一方面，开始越来越重视“构造业务的过程”——从分析到实现。
        我想，这是workflow的一个飞跃。
