Senior Lab Management Engineer for IIG Platform Team

We are looking for Senior Lab Management engineer to work in theEMC IIG division, responsible for developing state of the artContent Management products. In your capacity, you will have anopportunity working with world class architects, engineers todevelop the cutting-edge technologies. We promote a learning andinnovative environment. The assignments may include new products aswell as upgrades and enhancements, or fixes to existingproducts.

Job Responsibilities

 

·        Manages hardware equipment in software laboratory, includingservers, storage, network, etc.

·        Administrates the usage and function of virtual infrastructure.

·        Initiates the laboratory planning and resource management to meetteam growth

·        Setups hardware and software for lab equipment, includinginstalling OS, creating RAID and LUN, building up infrastructuretools for better engineering and laboratory process.

·        Monitors all the laboratory devices performance/usage/availability,foresees the bottleneck and takes actions to follow up.

·        Maintains hardware and software, including upgrade, backup,repairing with product support, and etc.

·        Solves all the tickets submitted in daily job.

·        Works closely with IIG global lab management team to help eachother and share best practices

·        Involves evaluating and ordering of required hardware andsoftware.

·        Develops tools to integrate resource or provides better remotemanagement abilities within IIG group.

·        Works with COE IT and Security departments to meet COE andCorporate requirements and policies

Qualifications

·        Strong background with lab infrastructure management, especiallyservers (Dell, Cisco, HP, IBM, Sun), storage (SAN, NAS, CAS),network (Ethernet, Fabric Channel).

·        Solid knowledge and experience on virtual datacenter planning andmanagement, especially VMware technology based.

·        Profound knowledge on VMware technologies, such as vSphere,vCenter, vCenter Lab Manager, Could Director and etc.

·        Strong background on different operating systems, Linux, Windows,HPUX, AIX, Solaris, knowledge of vSphere 4 and 5 is a plus.

·        Profound knowledge on EMC storage products configuration andmanagement, CLARiiON is highly required, and Centera is a plus.

·        Knowledge of FC/Ethernet network configuration.

·        Knowledge of scripting, such as Shell, Perl, PowerShell, etc.

·        Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in the globaldiverse team.

·        Ability to drive decisions, solve tough problems, and organizemultiple tasks executing concurrently.

·        Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
