安装wsl

step 1

turn SVM off in BIOS

• cannot use vmware workstation anymore
• if wsl is enabled but svm is on, windows cannot be activated.

step 2

enable WSL

• in cmd
  • dism /online /get-features /format:table
  • dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:[Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux AND VirtualMachinePlatform]
  • dism /online /disable-feature /featurename:[Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux AND VirtualMachinePlatform]
• in powershell
  • Get-WindowsOptionalFeature
  • Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature
  • Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature
• in GUI
  • Control Panel → Programs and Features → Turn Windows features on or off

step 3

restart computer

step 4

• wsl --set-default-version 2
• wsl --list --online
• wsl --list --verbose
• wsl --install -d Ubuntu
• wsl --set-default Ubuntu
• wsl [-u root OR --user root]

uninstall

wsl --unregister
