It seems to me that the author wants to tell us something about his attitude. This passage seems to be about woods, snow, sound and so on. But, in my opinion, it is surely not only concerning about these. The author wants to tell us some significant things in life. The author waited "miles to go". I don't think it refers to distance only. I think it refers to time too, the whole life's time! We all have "miles to go" before "sleep". "Sleep" just means the end of our lives, and a happy ending, for we could get a good rest after death.
We sometimes stop in our life just as our author stop at the woods. In life, there is beauty to appreciate. But time will never wait for us. So we must go on and on until we reached the very end of our lives. The time stirs us to go on. The time seems to be some "promises" we've said, and we must obey. In the whole life, no one can escape from the long way he/she must go on. The life is beautiful only without appreciation. We must experience the beauty. If we stop to watch, life will be a beauty too! If we won't stop, just stick to the end of it. Life will be a big dull. Always people feel life good because he/she enjoyed life, or to say that he/she stopped to watch the beauty of life. Miles is a long distance. We must stop from time to time to have a rest and an enjoying. Everyone would feel tired after sometime. So, stop and have a rest when you are tired and find a place like the "woods"! Go and see the natures' Great!
We must stop if either our mind or our body won't go without refreshment. So be boldly to stop and have a good rest each time. It's not a shame, but a natural and a divine need that human beings must have. And because of this life is as beautiful as a flower! Jesus said "How long hasn't read a poem? How long haven't you enjoyed music? How long haven't you taken a walk? We don't need bread only. We do need something more alimental than bread!"
So, never miss the most beautiful woods in your life, seize the most beautiful woods in your life!
