What will you consider, if you're the department manager in the golden period?
After the spring festival , it's the golder time that lot of companys will hurt the expertise IT man. As a top manager, you need to be sensitive to know what's your employee's mind, will they chose another job? will they satifsified with the situation now?
You need to discuss with the boss, HR, finance ,let them know the true situation. How to keep the ppl stay here? Not just provide the career life but the money, bouns, project bonus.

If you have a trip for 1 week, or serval days, what will you do?
Before you leave, you need to delgate the privileges to your employers to make the decision in public, so let every know, who can make the decision.

Review process for the CMMI
Most of the team leaders, will do nothing, if you have no mention that in the meeting or in the presentation while the top/senior manager are in the meeting. They would focus on their jobs and projects. It take great consideration to book their time, to make the schedule clear and to let them know what's need to do. It's very hard to sit togather with all of the key person. If you catch this time, try best to make preparation. try best to make decision at that time. It's the tough work, actually.

When you want the high position to do sth, don't...
Don't make the decision with others and let him do sth. Send the request , ask the manager, whether they accept it, even your idea is absolutely correct. It's the lesson for me at today.

Find resource and talk with others.
Find the resource in your department. You will always found that you miss sth or someone, if you don't. It will give you a big suprise. Today we found the ppl who has SQA experience. Lask week, I have found someone who has publish the news paper. he would join us to prepare the coming newspaper, great!

Find the postential ppl and motivate them
Once we find the pontential ppl, try to give them a chance, try to promopt them in any way. Give the showing time for them. No matter they're interesting on the management , tech skill etc ...

When you request ppl to help you...
Let them know, you are work togather, let them know, they can give value to the department. In another word, let them know they are valueable. Solve the difficulties with them.
