Set up ssh password less key across all the servers for genesys service account



Login den-genqa-014 by genesysadmin user,  run :

ssh-keygen -t rsa -b 2048

(to create a key pair under /home/genesysadmin/.ssh/. Don't inputany Passphrase.)

cat /home/genesysadmin/.ssh/id_rsa.pub

then, select whole string to copy the pub key string inclipboard for future use.

 

Login phx-genqa-014 by genesysadmin user,  run

vi /home/genesysadmin/.ssh/authorized_keys

paste above copied public key string into this file and saveand close the authorized_keys file.

chmod 644 /home/genesysadmin/.ssh/authorized_keys

(to remove the write access on group account for that file. )

 

Verify: switch to the shell on den-genqa-014, run

ssh phx-genqa-014

verify you can access phx-genqa-014 from den-genqa-014without providing any password .

 

If the verification is good, ask Linux SA to copy the file /home/genesysadmin/.ssh/authorized_keysfrom phx-genqa-014 to the rest QA and Dev servers.

Now, you can access or copy files from den-genqa-014 to anyQA and Dev servers without password input.
