Hi, is there a way to disable desctop notifications when i take screen on next screenschot? In some apps it jumps in top and notificiation is on next screen. Can i diable it?

Hi, I’ve just registered a video during one hour. Nothing happens when I want to read it, it the “recent” captura menu, the title is grey and when I want to close Capture it’s written “Some recordings have not finish writing to disk”. Is it normal ?

Hi, let me first begin to say i really like your Captura project, and I’ve learned allot from it coding wise.
But i also encountered the a/v desync.
So i basically started from scratch to debug where the desync came from.
If you want i can share the project with you.

I think the desync comes from Audio part of the software.
You write all audio captures/loop-backs to an buffer which converts it to a certain wave format (if i’m correct).
I think the solution is to just pipe everything into ffmpeg and apply a filter ( “-filter_complex “[0:0][1:0]amerge=inputs=2[a];[2:0]scale=1280x720[v]” -map [a] -map [v]” 0 and 1 are audio streams 2 is video ) to merge all audio streams. And then maybe do the conversion as last step.

This might not be ideal as it seems you want to support multiple non-ffmpeg encoders/programs.
But then again: why do you need anything else then ffmpeg.

I would like to tell you if it is possible to configure the mouse so that it has a rectangle around it so that it enlarges the area where the mouse passes, since when showing the entire computer screen it looks somewhat small on mobiles. In this way, by being able to configure a box around the mouse, the area where the mouse passes will always be shown more closely. Thanks again and sorry for my limited English.

I know the docs are currently being rewritten for version 9.0., but having these pieces of info would definitely help.
With LibreOfficeFR we want to showcase this tool and having a not so perfect French translation prevents us from doing advertising for your nice tool.
I know in FOSS we are not usually asking this, bue do you have any ETA for 9.0?

Hello, @MathewSachin ! I’m a very grateful user of Captura. During the COVID lockdown I’m using it to record my lessons so that students can access them later. Today I’m having some issues with the mp4 conversion. After a 90’ class the conversion process stopped, and when I try to close Captura, it says “some recordings have not finished writing to disk”, after five hours I think something went wrong. Is there a way to recover/restart the conversion? The output file is stuck at 139MB. Should I restart something, or should I consider the recording lost?

Hello @MathewSachin, I found this application is working amazingly. However, I faces a issue while capturing one note screen, windows white board, or audesk sketchbook. It does not capture cursor movement properly. I am using it on latest version of windows 10 and all the application in question are also updated. If anyone know how to resolve it, please let me know?

It is actually not capturing pen drawing movement though drawing movement through mouse/touchpad is being captured.

Hi, I’m getting this error and have no idea how to make it stop from failing: System.Exception: System can’t keep up with the Recording. Frames are not being written. Retry again or try with a smaller region, lower Frame Rate or another Codec.
at Screna.Recorder.d__17.MoveNext() I’m using latest version on Windows 8.1

I have (though) a problem: My computer crashed in the end of a recording of a large interactive seminar, which means I have a file with all the data, but I cannot open it. And the data is pretty hard to replace. Do you have any workaround that I can use to access the video file?
