I got frustrated, but that was awesome!!!

A couple days ago, I downloaded a Linux distribution.
After a five-hour downloading, a 3.2-gigabytes package of softs resided on my disk, I couldn't wait and installed it right away through a VM(Virtual Machine). During the process of the downloading, I had been searching around the net for articles on installing a Linux, and found some, devoured them...and the work of installation started, it was about 1 o' clock a.m., quite late, but it was a brand new thing that I coundn't wait till the next day to give a try.

At first, the installation didn't go on wheels, the VM prompted that it was going to erase all the data on the drive on which the Linux system is to be installed, so I stopped there and cancelled the installation cause I was not sure what would happen if I proceeded(you know, there are about 25GBs media files on that drive, and the hot series "Prison Break", they being lost, it would take me at least one week to redownload them...not really appreciate it...). And then I got onto the search engine and managed to find solution to the problem, actually, it was a virtual drive, which is just a file created by the VM itself, erasing all the data on this virtual drive is just like deleting a file. so I proceeded, and it was about 3 o' clock a.m. then, I thought the installation wouldn't take too long, so I set up an alarm for half an hour and went to bed, and after half an hour the alarm rang, the installation just finished a half, upset, then again an alarm for one hour, but this time I was not awaken by the alarm, cause it was about 10 o' clock when I woke up, I was too tired to have heard the alarm...YES, the laptop was automatically switched to hibernation mode, and of course the installation finished!!! Excited, activated the laptop and restarted the VM and logged on to the new Operating System, yes, everything was as expected, nothing went wrong this time, but the experience was not that satisfying, cause it was SLOW, so slow that I couldn't stand it, maybe it was because of scarce of RAM or something like bad setups during the installation, so I discarded it the next day, but I was not going to discard the Linux, on the other way around, I fell for it.

Well, although the first time I touched Linux seemed not as cool as I had expected, but the urge to try out the new OS had drived me to know it, maybe just a little about it(but it was enough for a newbie), and had learnt that it was a GREAT Operating System that guys like me should spend time in stutying it...and now, is the SCRATCH POINT to the bleeding-edge techniques attached Operating System -- the little penguin.
