Python 2&3, zip type

zip(range(3), ‘abc’)
output: <zip at 0x110919488>

zip(range(3), ‘abc’)[0]: type error

ln [7]: list(zip(range(3), ‘abc’))
Out[7]: [(0, ‘a’), (1, ‘b’), (2, ‘c’)]

In [8]: list(zip(range(3), ‘abc’))[0]
Out[8]: (0, ‘a’)
