GOAL
When setting up the Accounting Flexfield segments can be enabled as the 'Cost Center Segment'. When submitting a requisition for approval the approval notification does not display the 'Cost Center Segment'. How to display the 'Cost Center Segment' in the requisition approval notification?
SOLUTION
1. Set the following Profile Options:
- Personalization Region Link Enabled = Yes - Disable Self-Service Personal = No - Personalize Self-Service Defn = Yes
2. Navigate Notification Summary 3. Open the notification 4. Click on Personalize "Requisition Lines"
5. Choose 'Expand All' 6. <CTRL F> and search for Cost, which will place the cursor on the line "Message Styled Text: Cost Center"
7. Click on the Pencil to the right of the field to personalize. 8. Set the following Personalization Properties at the desired level (Function, Site, Organization or Responsibility):
- Rendered = True - User Personalization = True
9. Click the Apply (button) on the bottom right. 10. Choose Return to Application link 11. The notification will now display the Cost Center
Please note that upon extending the ReqLinesNotificationsRN, to add new item attributes, the item attributes must be set as 'Rendered' = True - at the Site level - in order for the attributes to be seen in the Approval Email notification.
Also note that extending the Oracle Applications using JDeveloper to modify the underlying objects or add item attributes is regarded as customization and is not supported by Oracle Support Services. Should further assistance be needed, Oracle Consulting is available as a resource for those customers who wish to perform customizations within Oracle Applications.
