Vuejs install on Windows

Install

If you want to change the default path when running Node.js command prompt, edit nodejs\nodevars.bat file at last line, change %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% to your path

1. Install Node Js
   Download and install nodejs package for windows
   https://nodejs.org/en/download/

2. Install Vue CLI
   Uninstall old version and install new version

npm uninstall vue-cli –g to uninstall
npm install -g @vue/cli

Use vue --version to check if installation is success

3. Install Prototyping

npm install –g @vue/cli-service-global

Use vue serve to run App.vue or user vue serve MyApp.vue to run MyApp

Create

Use Command

vue create hello-world -d

After creation, you will a new folder named hello-world under your current path like this struture

Use UI

Run vue ui to run a local project manager web, you can manually create a new project by follow each steps

Now, you can find a new vue project folder under current path.

Build

Use UI

The local project manager offer us a convenience way to build and with UI analysis

Use Command

cd hello-world
npm run serve

Visit http://localhost:8080 in broswer
