Do not use

if (input == 'y' || 'Y')

 

should be:

 if ((input == ‘y’) || (input == ‘Y’))

 

Switch

(use switch, case, break)

 

 

Allocate multiple comparison in on performance with multiple case.

default

is used similar to the else with an if else ladder (If none of the cases are executed, then the default case will be executed)

 

 

 

 

If the default is nested in another switch, the break is required for that.
