The following is a list of all valid keys for the UIManager.getDefaults() object. I'm not sure which of these is the key you need, but you may take a look at the call

ColorUIResource cuir =
UIManager.getDefaults().get("activeCaption");

...which seems to return a ColorUIResource which, functionally, is just a Color object. Best of luck to you. :)
