This is similar to values() except that instead of returning dictionaries, it returns tuples when iterated over.
In [1]: from blog.models import *
In [2]: Blog.objects.values_list('name')
Out[2]: [(u'Cheddar Talk',), (u'New name',), (u'senon',)]
In [3]: Blog.objects.values('name')
Out[3]: [{'name': u'Cheddar Talk'}, {'name': u'New name'}, {'name': u'senon'}]
