Just as negative thinking can be learned, so can positive thinking. Our brains are flexible. So let's take a look at some "happiness" exercises you can employ right now that will train your brain and, hopefully, put you on the path to happiness.

Remember, the key to creating happiness is to train your brain. Research shows we can do it. Now it's up to you.

Start by creating new habits -- two or three to begin with -- that will be just as hard to break as any other habit. And do them for at least 21 days straight.
首先,培养新的习惯,开始时可以是两、三个,这些习惯可以和其他习惯一样难以打破。习惯至少要坚持21天。

If you encounter little roadblocks to your daily practice, then engage your brain. Find ways to make it easier to start the new habit. For instance, try putting that journal on your nightstand where it's the last thing you see as you end the day.
如果你在每日坚持习惯上面临小小的障碍,那么动动脑筋。找找看有什么更加容易的方法可以让你开始新的习惯。比如,试着把你的日记放在床头,每天睡觉之前看到的最后一件东西就是它。

Happiness might seem tough to achieve in today's world. But if we train our brain with just 15 minutes a day, we can achieve not only a better outlook on life, but have a positive effect on the most important parts of our lives -- our work, our health and the people we care about.
