53c7,8xx.c not compiling in kernel 2.2.23

 

Kernel : 2.2.23
Machine: Alpha XL (ev4)
Commands:
make mrproper
make menuconfig
make dep
make clean
make

After a while I get this error:

Is this really a source problem or I'am doing something wrong?
