Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.3 update firefox

1. download firefox

download url
http://firefox.com.cn/download/

2.install firefox
#> cd /root/Downloads/
#>ls

Firefox-latest-x86_64.tar.bz2

#> tar xvf Firefox-latest-x86_64.tar.bz2

#> whereis firefox

firefox: /usr/bin/firefox /usr/lib64/firefox /usr/share/man/man1/firefox.1.gz

delete old firefox

#> mv firefox /tmp/

copy new firefox to folder

#> mv  /root/Downloads/firefox     /usr/lib64/

Now,you can open your firefox ,it has updated.

Press help menu->about firefox , 

It's latest version.

3. update adobe flash pluin

1) create yum repo

cd /etc/yum.repos.d
vim adobe-linux-x86_64.repo

[adobe-linux-x86_64]
name=Adobe Systems Incorporated
baseurl=http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/linux/x86_64/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux

yum install flash-plugin

if your manchine is  x86_64

cd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
ln -s /usr/lib64/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so libflashplayer.so

restart your firefox , it is ok
