第二天——注册报到

Today is the second day I stay in Santa Barbara, and today I will go to EF School officially.

Ha, also steam of consciousness & brilliant mixture of Chinese and English.

At 7 in the morning, I woke up. Brushed teeth and washed face quickly, I went to the living room and ate breakfast.

It’s the first breakfast I ate in the host family. I ‘created’ my breakfast. Right from the start, I took out 2 pieces of toast and put them into the oven. (The oven is really hot and I almost burnt my finger, fortunately, I didn’t and I’m fine now.) Then I put blueberry jelly into (or onto the toast), and I just ate it.

Then I went to school. On the way to school, I found I still had a bad sense of direction as I still couldn’t get the direction to school. Fortunately, I had Yuki with me and he led me to school.

When I reached there, I saw some of teammates there, Jimmy, Rachel, James, etc. One good thing is I remembered to bring my passport there, although I knew later that we could bring our passport tomorrow.

Registration was interesting and easy. Just get an I-20 Paper which I didn’t know exactly what it is and get a name card. When I was writing name on the name card, I wrote my Chinese name, and soon I found other students wrote their English name. Then I thought that maybe I put the name wrong, so I went back and got a new one. Unbelievably, I found at the end of the registration that the card was useless – I hadn’t even used it once! After this clip, I just finished my document, handed in it and the important paper.

It seems that I haven’t used Chinese yet up till now…

After the school tour (maybe I just change the order, maybe…), we travelled around the streets around the school, and when we went back, it was 2. It’s so late.

I had the lunch which included cheeseburger, French fries (with a weird tomato ketchup), and a bottle of coke quickly, as I would have a book handing out and something else at 3.

The level I got is B, the real level I got is C1-2 (it’s the same as Rachel’s), then I got the important information and left the school.

On the way home, I found I lost again (so embarrassed and ashamed)

At night, I talked with my roommates and home mates (also with Anita), then I went to bed at 11.

Waiting for next day’s course…

PS You haven't see any Chinese yet? You can't believe it? Just believe it! I didn't use any Chinese in this diary!!!
