Issue:
There will be senarios where the user has requested for some GAL relted changes in objects like DL modification. Once post modification, the user will be able to see the changes in the Webmail version of outlook, however in outlook client the same changes will not be seen. In such cases, you will need to update the OAB in outlook that will fix such issues. Below steps need to be followed for the same.
Steps to update OAB in outlook:
- In Outlook, Click File tab, Click on Account Settings, and then click Download Address Book.
- In the Offline Address Book dialog box, make sure that the Download changes since last Send/Receive check box is checked
- Click OK
- Your Outlook Global Address Book is now up-to-date.
- Post this, the user will be able to search the changes updated in outlook as expected
