本部分一个动词词组一个或若干使用情况，根据小标题对应的意思进行初初认识就行了。但都会有例句。

account for 占据；解释

• If a particular thing accounts for a part or proportion of something,that part or proportion consist of that thing,or is used or produced by it.
• If you can account for something,you can explain it or give the necessary information about it.

accuse of 指责；控诉

• If you accuse someone of doing something wrong or dishonest,you say or tell them that you believe that they dis it.

act as 担任

• If someone or something acts as a particular thing,they have that role or function.

adapt to 适应

• If you adapt to a new situation,you change your ideas or behaviour in order to deal with it successfully.

add to 添加

• If you add one thing to another,you put it in or on other thing,to increase,complete,or improve it.

adjust to 添加

• When you adjust to a new situation,you get used to it by changing your behaviour or your ideas.

agree on 达成一致

• If people agree on something,they all decide to accept or do something.

agree to 答应,接受

• If you agree to do something,you say that you will do it.if you agree to a proposal,you accept it.

agree with 认同(某人)

• If people agree with each other about something,they have the same opinion about it or say that they have the same opinion.
• If one account of an event of one set of figures agrees with another,the two accounts or set of figures are the same or are consistent with each other.

aim for/to 以…为目标

• If you aim for something or aim to do something,you plan or hope to achieve it.

apologize to 道歉

• When you apologize to someone,you say that you are sorry that you have hurt them or caused trouble for them.

apply for 申请

• If you apply for something such as a job or membership of an organization,you write a letter or fill out a form in order to ask formally for it.

approve of 喜爱；热衷

• If you approve of an action,event,or suggestion,you like it or are pleased about it.

argue with/about 与…就…产生争执

• If you argue with someone about something,you discuss it with them,with each of you giving your different opinions.

argue for/against 陈述(正/反)理由

• If you argue for something,you say why you agree with it,in order to persuade people that it is right.If you argue against something,you say why you disagree with it,in order to persuade people that it is wrong.

arise from 源自

• If something arises from a particular situation,or arises out of it,it is created or caused by the situation.

arm with 武装;装备

• If you arm someone with a weapon,you provide them with a weapon.
• If you arm someone with something that will be useful in a particular situation,you provide them with it.

arrive at 抵达/到达

• When a person or vehicle arrives at a place,they came to it from somewhere else.
• When you arrive at something such as a decision,you decide something after thinking about it or discussing it.

ask for 要求

• If you ask for something,you say that you would like it.
• If you ask for someone,you say that you would like to speak to them.

assist in 协助

• If something assist in doing a task,it makes the task easier to do.
