Leetcode May Challenge - 05/05: First Unique Character in a String(Python)

题目描述

Given a string, find the first non-repeating character in it and return it’s index. If it doesn’t exist, return -1.

例子

s = “leetcode”
return 0.

s = “loveleetcode”,
return 2.

解释

给一个字符串，返回第一个只出现过一次的字符的下标。

思路

暴力解不说了，O(n^2)的解法，很简单。
如果要优化，我们想到使用哈希，牺牲空间复杂度来减小时间复杂度。遍历字符串，用一个字典存每个字符出现了多少次。再遍历字符串，对每一个字符去字典中查出现次数（对于字典，查询的时间复杂度是O(1)），如果是1直接返回。如果到最后没有出现1则返回-1（代表字符串中每个字符都至少出现了两次）。
