开头introduction

1、改写

        同义替换

        show = give information about = illustrate = depict = display         

        the consumption of ... = the amount of .. consumed

        how引导从句how much or many

        例：The line graph gives information about how much fish was consumed in a European country.

2、总结

overall，xxxx

Body:

• 信息分组（相似特征在一组）

1. 运行趋势 （上升 & 下降）
2. 波动幅度 （剧烈 & 平缓）
3. 线的位置/数值大小 （高 & 低）

• 如何选取main features: 趋势、交点（用超过这个概念“overtake, exceed, surpass”）、起点、终点、转折点

表示趋势的词

上升：

（弱）：climb  = increase slightly

（中）：increase (increase  n.), grow (growth, grew) , rise (rise, rose)

（强）：soar, surge, rocket, jump

下降：

（弱）：slide (slide, slid), slip (slip, slipped)

（中）：decline, drop, decrease, fall (fall, fell), dip

（强）：plumb, slump, plunge, tumble, plummet

不变/稳定：

不变：      keep/remained unchanged / the same at ...

稳定：      level off/out at...

remain steady/stable at ... = stabilize at...   stability   n.

波动：

fluctuate / fluctuation     increase with a fluctuation

顶峰/低谷

reach the peak/top/maximum; reach the highest point／level;

reach the bottom /nadir/ minimum; reach the lowest point/ level

程度

        低：    slightly, slowly, modestly, moderately, marginally

        逐渐：  gradually， steadily，

        显著地：significantly, considerably, remarkably, notably, noticeably, substantially, markedly

        剧烈地：dramatically （dramatic）, drastically （drastic），sharply, radically, exponentially （以指数方式增长地）, steeply

        连续地：continuously, constantly, consistently

        大约：  approximately, around, about, nearly, almost, roughly

        53%：  slightly more than a half 

        49%： slightly / just under 50%
