E.g. Lets say that you have 3 types of Content in your site: "Article", "Artist" and "Album" .
NOTE: The content Type "Article" already exists , and is assigned the (displaying) template "default".
1. Go to template manager and duplicate template "default" to create templates "artist", "album"
2. You create your content Types
- Artist
- Album
Leave everything to default for starting, except for setting the used (displaying) templates.
Set the
-- template " artist " for Content type " Artist " and
-- template " album " for Content type " Album "
3. You create your fields e.g.
-- 5 text fields and 1 image-gallery field, and assign them to Content Type " Artist "
-- 4 text fields, 1 date field, 1 image-gallery field and assign them to Content Type " Album "
-- Optionally create a relation between " Artist " and " Album ", create a relation field and assign it to Artist , and a relation reverse field (this field allows to show list albums information with links when viewing the artist , and similar effect when viewing the albums)
4. Go back to templates manager and edit item layouts of templates " Artist " and " Album ", drag and drop the fields into template positions .
5. Create a few Content items of Artist and Album (the fields that you created above should appear in the forms)
6. In items manager click the preview buttons in each item row to preview the result in the frontend.
