Dell OptPlex390 安装Linux

几经周折，终于在Dll Optplex 390上成功安装了ubuntu10.10系统。
查询了许多关于该机器安装Linux的资料，整理如下，备用。

JD, I work for Dell and wanted to provide some information that may clarify the issue here. The OptiPlex 390 has the Intel H61 Express chipset which was only beginning to be supported in kernel 2.6.33. Recent kernels work with this chipset. RHEL 4 only went up to 2.6.9 so you would not be able to use this chipset without updating the kernel (which may not technically be considered "RHEL 4" at that point and may break other things). I do not know of a specific expansion SATA card to recommend. Let me know what you work out and if I can provide any further information or assistance. Good luck!

刚试过，用RED HAT 6.1 或者 WINDOWS 7 都找得到，还有UBUNTU 10.10,为啥 REDHAT 5U5(ORACLE ENTERPRISE LINUX 5U5) 找不到啊？？？ 请各位兄弟帮忙啊～～～

现换成redhat 6.2版本，虽然硬盘支持了，但是显卡驱动没有识别。

5. 结论
可以直接安装的系统:
Red Hat: 6.1, 6.2
Windows: win7
 Ubuntu: 10.10

而且在安装Red Hat6.1时，进入boot界面时需要输入参数：linux all-generic-ide irqpoll .
否则不能正常安装,在中途会找不到硬盘。

CentOS 5.5, 6.4 都不能正常安装。
