Recently I came across some good site for English listening training.
This is somewhat like a English learning portal, specialized in listening training though. The name cames from P(postgraduated) U(undergraduated)T(teachers). One impressive sub-site is dict.putclub.com, in this sub-site, there are multiple dictionaries for people planning to enrich vocabulary. The tick-to-hide feature is most impressive.
For listening training, there are standard listening , special listening and video listening. What I think is most helpful is there are quite some people good at listening doing summary transcripts. It's very helpful.
2. www.npr.org
NPR (National Public Radio) is an internationally acclaimed producer and distributor of noncommercial news, talk, and entertainment programming.
I discovered this site from a link in www.putclub.com.
The first article I listened is in the program named "This I believe" talking about a prisoner petting a cat in prison. Actually this is also on http://www.thisibelieve.org/, it has podcast too
