问题1、系统版本为Ubuntu 18.04.6 ，再进行passwd命令进行root密码的修改成功后，使用新的root密码发现无法登录系统。修改root密码不生效。

(base) root@hi:~# passwd root
Enter new UNIX password: 
Retype new UNIX password: 
passwd: password updated successfully
(base) root@hi:~# uname -a
Linux hi 4.15.0-200-generic #211-Ubuntu SMP Thu Nov 24 18:16:04 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
(base) root@hi:~# cat /etc/issue
Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS \n \l

解决办法

编辑  /etc/ssh/sshd_config 文件，在末行加入PermitRootLogin yes,并重启服务

(base) root@hi:~# sudo vim /etc/ssh/sshd_config 

(base) root@hi:~# service sshd restart
(base) root@hi:~#
