BLUE TOOTH TECHNOLOGY 兰牙技术 　　Blue Tooth technology is a kind of open wireless communication industry standard for data and vice communication. ERICSSON was once engaged in its research and development. Companies such as ERICCSON, NOKIA, INTEL, TOSHIBA as well as IBM etc. organized a special interest group jointly in 1998. After this, 3COM, LUCENT, MICROSOFT and MOTOROLA have subsequently joined the Blue Tooth program. They intend to exchange and transmit data and voice by realizing inter-connection of wireless earphone. PCs and corresponding (1) equipment via low power short-distance wireless link. 　　The word “BLUETOOTH” is taken from the name of the king who unified (2) Denmark in the Tenth Century. It represents the expected integration of separate portable (3) communication devices for seamless (4) resources sharing within a short distance. Major technical modules (5) of Blue Tooth system include the link control unit, link management unit, Blue Tooth standard protocol platform as well as antenna (7) unit, etc. The use of integrated modules and mini-belt antennas results in Blue Tooth’s exquisite (8) instillation volume and light weight. Blue Tooth system uses hopping (9) frequency technology which is a kind of commonly used spread-spectrum (10) technology. 　　Applications of Blue Tooth technology are very extensive. It mainly aims at serving low power processing within the distance of not more than 10 meters. In order to substitute cables link, it realizes offered by Blue Tooth in the Pico-net (11). It can also be used in various electrical appliances, especially the recently advanced concept of information household electrical appliances. The family information network is formed with Blue Tooth technology.
