1.initial setup
initiate the postgresql service on kali linux

service postgresql start

2.msfdbinit
this command with initiate the metasploit framework database instance and it’s a one-time activity

msfdb init

3.db_status
tell us whether the backend database has been initiated successfully and connected to the metasploit framework
