Campus Prevention
Physical Distancing(物理距离)
Maintaining space between yourself and others is a best practice and is one of the best tools to avoid exposure to the COVID-19 virus. People can spread the virus without being sick or knowing they are sick, so it is important to maintain social distance from others whenever possible.
Everyone on campus should follow these physical distancing practices:
a.Meetings should take place online instead of a conference room. If you must meet in person, wipe down surfaces, chairs and equipment after each use, and maintain physical distancing of at least 3 feet.
b.Stay out of crowded places and avoid mass gatherings.
c.Handshaking and other forms of physical contact are discouraged.
Face Covering(口罩)
The use of face coverings, including homemade masks, scarfs, bandanas or handkerchiefs, helps to minimize risks to the wearer and to those around them.
Cloth face coverings should:
a.Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face.
b.Be secured with ties or ear loops.
c.Include multiple layers of fabric - Wear one disposable mask underneath a cloth mask. The second mask should push the edges of the inner mask against your face.
e.Allow for breathing without restriction.
f.Be able to be laundered and machine dried without damage or change to shape
Hand Hygiene(手部卫生)
The correct handwashing technique is as follows:
a.Wet hands, apply soap and thoroughly rub hands together for at least 20 seconds.
b.Be sure to clean under fingernails and in between all fingers.
c.After thorough rinsing, use a paper towel when available to dry hands.
d.Use the same paper towel to turn off the faucet and to turn the door handle in public restrooms upon exiting. If a paper towel is not available, use an elbow to turn off the faucet and to activate the accessible door to exit the restroom.
e.If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol and rub into hands until dry.
Daily Self-Screening(每日自我筛查)
SEU requires all faculty, staff and students to self-screen each day for symptoms of COVID-19 before coming onto any University property or going to class.
Daily self-screening questions include:
a.Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 10 days?
b.Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
c.Have you had a fever or felt feverish in the past 48 hours?
d.Have you had a new loss of taste or smell?
e.Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
Temperature Monitoring Kiosks(温度监测亭)
Temperature monitoring kiosks will be located throughout campus. The kiosks are touchless and portable, which will allow them to be stationed or transportable. The campus community is encouraged to check their temperatures daily in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The kiosks will have the following features:
a.Temperature checking
b.Pre-recorded messaging with directions should the temperature threshold be broken
c.Messaging to designated directions to alert health personnel to a high temp reading
