why I need to do such complexity job?
I have a course named software testing which is a practice course, and we have to use a plugin for eclipse named Mooctest. However, this plugin’s version is too old and it only apply to JDK under version 1.8. Unfortunately, the version on my Windows’ is 13.0. I don’t want to uninstall my java, so I decided to install it on my Linux OS.
Let’s Start
- Install jdk1.8
- Configuring environment Variables/ Path
- Install eclipse on Mooctest
1. Install jdk1.8 on Linux OS
*suppose you have configure a linux os*
I don’t know why oracle ask you to login before download jdk, so I post my link on baiduNetDisk:

code:usg6
Extract the tar
My path is
/home/chuchu/software/development/Java/jdk1.8.0_131
2 Configure Environment variables and path
It is different from the configuration on Windows OS:
You can’t do it on a graphical interface, you can only use terminal.
