ubuntu7.10发布及其它

UBUNTU7.10如期发布了，不过它的中文官方网站还没有更新，首页提供的还是老版本的下载。

接触UBUNTU时间并不长，对它的版本并不是很了解，本来是7.04，怎么没见有05、06一下子就跑到7.10了呢？这个问题困扰我多时，直到前两天才被人点破：原来它是以计划发布日期作为版本号，07年4月发布的就叫7.04，10月发布的当然就叫7.10了。
现有的7.04可以通过更新管理器升级到7.10，但是我试了N次均以网络错误而告终，估计世界人民都在第一时间升级自己的系统吧，服务器忙不过来了。但是又不想下载CD重新装系统，只好在官网上转悠转悠，看看有啥新功能，先做好理论准备。

本来想自个翻过来，但也仅仅是想而已，没办法，英语太差，不敢出来丢人现眼。
这几个新特性我觉得最有吸引力的就是对NTFS读写的支持了。由于当初一时疏忽，给ubuntu只留了8G的分区，就这点地方都不敢放东西，老怕一不小心弄得系统空间不够，好多资料还是放在windows分区下，但是又只能读不能写，很不方便。前段时间看RedFlag6提供对NTFS读写，差点去支持国货，但是红旗的图形界面做的太像windows了，看得让人很不舒服，linux就是linux，为什么要做得跟windows一样呢，好多人认为如果有一天linux做得跟windows一样了，linux也就差不多要成功了，但我却觉得这是一个莫大的悲哀。
其实现在的ubuntu做得已经很好了，但是我还是丢不掉windows，丢不掉windows并不是因为windows系统比ubuntu强多少，只是因为丢不掉windows下的几个软件，像QQ，虽然有LumaQQ, eva可以替代，但每次登陆Luma跟买彩票一样，得足够幸运才能上得去，而eva又极其不稳定，我的好友从来就没更新过，绝大部分人都在陌生人里面。Gtalk也不错，但是我不却能说服我的其它朋友来用这么一个不能随便加好友也不能视频的玩意。还有像迅雷，pplive等等，虽然都可以找到相同功能的软件，但易用性远不及它们。
前两天在铁血上看有人发的我国军用笔记本的图片，可以防水防摔等N多物理上的破坏，但是一启动出现的却是蓝天白云，我立马崩溃了。这是linux的悲哀，还是中国人的悲哀？
