1. Install Virtualbox software(Double Click VirtualBox-3.0.12-54655-Win.exe), After your installation finish, you will see the Virtualbox icon on your desktop.
2. Configure the VirtualBox to add the virtual PC for the Linux OS(Fedora)
Double click “Sun VirtualBox”, Click the New button to create a new virtual machine, The application will pop up the following window(click Next)
3. Input the Name for the virtual Linux PC, select the operation system (Linux) & its version (Fedora), click the Next button.
4. Adjust the Base Memory Size to 524MB, click Next button.
5. Don’t change any items in the coming window, click Next
6. Click Next button in the next window too.
7. Select “Fixed-size storage”, click the Next button in the below window.
8. Adjust the size of the virtual hard disk to 20GB, click Next button.
9. Adjust the size of the virtual hard disk to 50GB(20GB at least), click Next button.
10. After about 20 minutes, the virtual PC will be created successfully. Then we can see virtual PC button in the VirtualBox(show as Water below).
11. Select the configured virtual PC(show as Water below), click Settings button, then click the System button, uncheck Floppy because we don’t have floppy device on our
PC.
12. Click CD/DVD-ROM, Select the CD driver, click OK button
13. Click Share folders button, click the add button to add the share folder.
14. Insert the Fedora Installation DVD to the DVD drive, click start button in the virtual Box, then install the Fedora OS step by step.
15. Create the share folder between Win7 & the virtual Linux OS.
Click Device->Install Guest Additions.
Click Devices->Mount CD/DVD-ROM->CD/DVD-ROM Image, select VBoxGusetAdditions.iso.
Double click the Computer button in the Desktop, open the VirtualBox CD, then go to /media/VBOXADDITIONS_3.0.12_54655, execute “VBoxLinuxAdditions-x86.run” as root user. Then reboot the virtual Fedora PC.
After reboot, execute the mount command (mount -t vboxsf share /home/water/box) as the root user to mount the share folder to the Linux OS。
