This session will explain the technology and capabilities behind Cisco’s new context aware firewall: Cisco ASA-NGFW. We will introduce a new approach to firewall policy creation based on contextual attributes such as user identity, device type and application usage. In the session we will demonstrate how to create and enforce policies that allows control over application behavior for both local and remote users. We will show the ASA-NGFW management platform named PRSM. Deployment and design considerations including use cases will be covered. Technologies discussed during this session will be firewall installation, firewall management, SSL decryption, identity based firewalling, web security and application visibility and control. The target audience are security administrators dealing with next generation firewalling.
