SAP Solution Manager includes a graphical interface for presenting your business processes and the corresponding alert situations. This simplifies monitoring, particularly for complex processes and software landscapes, and illustrates the connection between business process and software.
In principle, the CCMS Alert Monitor is ready to use immediately upon installation of your SAP system. In practice, however, you should adapt it to suit your specific SAP solution. Monitoring includes the following:
->Central monitoring of availability and performance of all hardware and software components participating in the SAP solution via the SAP monitoring agent (the agent can easily be extended to cover non-SAP software)
->Monitoring of the performance of the most important SAP online transactions
->Monitoring of error situations in online transactions, updates, background processing, and interfaces
For alerts identified as particularly critical, you can define automatic reaction procedures; for example, emails or SMS messages are sent so that constant monitoring is guaranteed, even if you are not constantly physically reviewing the Alert Monitor.
