• As we all know, Macau became a Portuguese colony in the 16th century.

• At that time, The Portuguese brought olive oil, sausages, wine, and other ingredients from their hometowns to travel to Macau by boat.

• Macanese cuisine is mainly influenced by Chinese Cuisine, especially Cantonese Cuisine and European Cuisine. Typically, Macanese food isseasoned and marinated with various spices, including turmeric, coconut milk orcinnamon, thus providing for special aromas and tastes.
