why the redo log is not needed to backup in the RMAN backup？

Condition:
  The database must be mounted or open:
  Online redo log backups are not supported:
  
  There are two type mode:
  
  1:Noarchivelog Mode:
  Only "clean" backups are usable in NOarchivelog mode
  (this is clean backup, the database closed, the redolog file are already write to datafile).
  (so backup the datafile is okay)
  
  2:Only "current" datafile backups are usable in archivelog mode.
  (Before you start the rman backup, the redo file will do archive self in advance)
  (so backup the archivelog file is okay).
