Linux,clear the content of linux file

Beijing,Jan 15th2013,sunny,temperature:-2

User can use the command: "echo > test.txt" to clear the content of the linux file,and also can use command: "echo "info" > test.txt" to write info to this file.

There is one shell script for me:

the variable can not be interpreted,but i think it is not difficult for me to resolve it.
