如何找到序列号

在Steam库，选中游戏后右侧Links面板内有

（新版Steam游戏列表，右键游戏名 | 管理 | 序列号）

如何安装DirectPlay

1. 找到控制面板、程序
2. 点击“Turn Windows Features on and off”
   
3. 打开Legacy Component，选中 DirectPlay，点击OK
   

修复Steam Overlay（游戏内菜单）

1. 先确保至少运行一次游戏，找到Steam安装目录，默认：C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
   
2. 右键 GameOverlayUI.exe、Steam.exe，属性 | 兼容性设置，选中 run as administrator，点击应用
   
3. 找到游戏安装目录，默认：C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age Of Empires 3，用记事本打开 installscript.vdf，删除所有内容并保存，在新建一个空文件 runasadmin.vdf
   
4. 右键installscript.vdf、runasadmin.vdf，属性 | 安全 | 高级设置，点击“禁用继承”，这样就能阻止游戏获得管理员权限
   
5. 打开游戏目录bin，右键 age3.exe、age3x.exe、age3y.exe，兼容性设置中去掉“兼容模式启动”、“管理员模式启动”选项
   
6. 再从Steam进入游戏，就有游戏内菜单了（Shift + Tab）

修复声音最大化问题

1. Go to your in-game options and set all audio to max volume.
2. Alt-Tab, right click on your Windows audio, and go to your Volume Mixer at the bottom right of your taskbar.
   
   
3. Adjust the volume of the game to how you want.Congratulations, the game is now tolerable!

修复Alt + Tab问题

1. Go to your Steam library and right click on the game. Go to properties, hit set launch options
2. Enter in -windowed -noborder
   
   Congratulations, Alt-Tabbing should now be possible/not crash!

修复游戏设置变回默认的问题

1. Navigate to C:\Users"User"\Documents\My Games\Age of Empires 3\Users3
2. Mark NewProfile3.xml as Read Only.

1. Make sure your audio drivers are up to date.
2. Go to your Steam library and right click on the game. Go to properties, hit set launch options.
3. Enter in -nomusic

Connecting to LAN Games Using Evolve (or Hamachi)

1. Set your launch options to include OverrideAddress=“YourEvolveIP”
2. Now the game should recognize your Evolve IP and you should be able to connect/be connected to.
3. If you have no Evolve IP, go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound, Device Manager.
4. Go to Network Adapters, right click on “Evolve Virtual Ethernet Adapter”. Go to properties, hit advanced, and for MAC Address type in 0
   
5. Reconnect to the Evolve party.Congratulations, you can now play LAN games!

How to Cheat your Home City Level - Singleplayer

1. Navigate to C:\Users"User"\Documents\My Games\Age of Empires 3\Savegame
2. Select whatever city.xml file you wish to level up, and hit edit.
3. Change and to whatever you wish.
   
   Congratulations, you no longer need to grind!

How to Cheat your Home City Level - Multiplayer

This requires at least one other person.

1. Have everyone download XPMod[eso-community.net].

How to “Update” your Game

1. Download this[eso-community.net] and install it.
2. Hit add a game at the bottom left of your Steam library, and select ESOCPatchLauncher.exe, which is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age Of Empires 3\bin.
   
3. Edit it’s launch properties to include the fixes from the rest of the guide.Congratulations, you now patched and updated many small parts of the game, and can now rotate buildings!Note that this patch adds diplomacy for FFA. You can access the diplomacy screen by hitting the black square next to the menu in-battle at the top right.

How to Increase the AI’s Skill
