Pure Python read/write support for ESRI Shapefile format.

pip install --upgrade pip setuptools wheel

pip install Cartopy-0.19.0.post1.tar.gz    (download the gz file to anaconda\scripts, prompt change dir to anaconda\scripts)

failed!

conda install cartopy       for hours finally failed

conda config --append channels conda-forge

conda install -c conda-forge cartopy

ALL faile!!!

 

2. to install cartopy

first type "python --version" in the anaconda prompt, my return gives Python 3.8.10

then find "Cartopy‑0.19.0.post1‑cp38‑cp38‑win_amd64.whl" instead of "Cartopy‑0.19.0.post1‑cp310‑cp310‑win_amd64.whl"!!!

then pip install C:\users\zhous\onedrive\desktop\Cartopy-0.19.0.post1-cp38-cp38-win_amd64.whl
