Make sure you can ping yourself. Test this:
ping $( hostname )
If you can not ping yourself you can fix that in several ways.
Add an entry in /etc/hosts with your hostname
Add a DNS entry in your DNS
Example: If your 'hostname' command gives 'weblogic.example.org' and your IP-numer is '1.2.3.4' then add this line to /etc/hosts:
1.2.3.4 weblogic.example.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem comes because Weblogic tries to bind to the IP address which is related to the hostname. For some reason this is not possible on your system. Weblogic does not get the IP address and gives then a stange error-message about it.
